This 3-step guide will help you through feeling hungry between meals when on a pre-bariatric surgery guide.

Step 1

Most of the time when we feel hungry, we’re actually thirsty. Try drinking water, a sugar-free beverage, or decaf tea/coffee first.

Step 2

If you are still hungry, grab a high fiber snack with some protein:

  • Raw veggies and hummus/dip
  • An apple with the skin on and 1 tbs. peanut butter
  • ½ cup low sugar applesauce and 1oz string cheese

Step 3

Try sugar-free gum, mints, or sugar-free hard candy if it is just an urge to snack.
