Does the Insurance Pay for the Complications Upon Returning Home?

The answer is Yes! Your insurance pays for the complication care in your home country up to 180 days after the procedure.

However, when you enroll, you can decide not to include coverage in your home country.

But by choosing this option, you’re only protected from complications while in Mexico during your selected enrollment period.

For details, check your confirmed coverage limits and benefits overview after enrollment.

Along with the usual travel accident benefits, insured individuals will get extra coverage for medical complications for up to 6 months after the initial procedure.

Regular travel insurance doesn’t cover trips for elective medical procedures, so it’s not enough for people going for medical treatment.
