This 3-step guide helps you to deal with hunger between meals before your bariatric surgery.
Most of the time when we feel hungry, we’re actually thirsty.
Try drinking water, sugar-free beverages, or decaf tea/coffee first.
If you are still hungry, grab high fiber protein-rich snacks like
- Raw veggies and hummus/dip
- An apple with the skin on and 1 tbs. peanut butter
- ½ cup low sugar applesauce and 1oz string cheese
Try sugar-free gum, mints, or sugar-free hard candy if it is just an urge to snack.
