“Hi, I’m Milissa Fox, I came to Tijuana august 26, 2014 and had Gastric Sleeve Surgery and I’m here ten and half months later; 6 more weeks will be my 1 year anniversary since I’ve had my surgery and I’ve lost approximately 92 pounds. So I think once I’ve hit my one year I would’ve probably lost 100 pounds which would’ve been my ultimate goal but never ever would I have thought to see that number again that I had seen since I was in my late teens or early twenties. This surgery changed my life for the better in every single aspect; I know it was going to be emotional.
It’s truly been the best thing I’ve done in my adult life for myself and I know there’s going to be many of you in different places you know in Mexico, United States, Canada; that might be researching and looking and having fear to do this and that’s one of the reasons that I want to do this. I want to say don’t be afraid, you know, let that fear go and come and do it. It… you know took me years, 10 years of researching and looking and thinking about it and just finally just got to a point where I said I am going to do it.
But I had looked up surgeries online to come to Tijuana and Mexico Bariatrics and I did a lot and lot of research because I know also for in other countries we have that, that fear from some… you know that what… the things that we hear, but honestly I have felt completely safe; they have the best treatment, it was a such a great decision, I mean the cost was not even a quarter of what it would have been in the States.
I have type 1 diabetes; I have had diabetes since I was 12 years old and so I have been ill from… many times in my life and hospitalized and of course I love… in America. But the hospitals are very busy places, and when I came to… I came to The Florence Hospital where I had my surgery and I had the most attentive staff.
I feel pretty and kind of embarrassing but I feel sexy and I literally get asked out every single week. It’s just a, it’s just a great feeling to feel that confidence and to feel, “wow, I’m an attractive lady,” and it’s nice to… I’m 46 and I’m just soaking it all up right now.

So I would definitely recommend that but don’t… don’t be afraid, don’t be… don’t be afraid to come to Mexico, I prom… I promise don’t be afraid to come to Mexico. It’s beautiful, I am staying at a beautiful hotel, nice people, people are speaking English, people are friendly, people are happy and… and the care was magnificent and then you get, you know, awesome results of what we dream about or what we used to be or what we hope to be can actually happen, just… we just have to do it. This is me now, do it, do it, do it.”
